provides opportunities for licensure and entrepreneurial training in cosmetology, esthetics, and therapeutic massage. We prepare our students for careers in the salon and spa industry as licensed cosmetologists, estheticians, and massage therapists.
Instructors are licensed, degreed, and enthusiastic. Students receive practical, hands-on training and apply those skills in a real-world salon and spa environment. The Salon Institute is located in Scottsboro and houses classrooms, offices, and labs for the program, as well as a fully-functioning salon and spa. A required salon and spa internship gives students a competitive advantage by ensuring they have experience across all aspects of salon and spa management. Entrepreneurship and salon/spa management classes equip students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to open successful businesses.
Day classes are available at The Salon Institute in Scottsboro. Take advantage of the growth and stability this exciting field offers by applying for admission today.
Cosmetology, Esthetics, and Nail Technology prepares students with the skills, tools, and knowledge needed to pass the Alabama State Board of Cosmetology Licensure Examination.
Students gain knowledge and hands-on training on state-of-the-art equipment while practicing techniques in real-world salon settings for facials, dermabrasion, hydrofacials, and cosmetic applications. Students are prepared to pass the Alabama State Board of Esthetics Licensure Examination.
More than just a relaxation massage, therapeutic massage involves manipulating muscles and tissues to alleviate pain, stress, and discomfort. Physicians and chiropractors sometimes prescribe massage for patients with certain injuries.
