"Participate in your education.
Speak up in class,
write in the margins;
the margins of the world
await your notation."
- - -Billy Collins
If you are a current student, a prospective student, a faculty member, or simply someone with an interest in the fields of English and Fine Arts as well as Child Development, welcome. Within our division, we strive to foster a community of creativity, exploration, and scholarly inquiry. Through our diverse range of courses and programs, we aim to inspire students to engage critically with literature, language, visual arts, and performance. This division also includes the Child Development program which provides a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to understanding and supporting the growth and development of children from infancy through adolescence. The program is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to promote healthy development and positive outcomes for children in various contexts.
The faculty in this division are committed to supporting its students in their academic and artistic endeavors. Whether students are analyzing the works of Shakespeare, honing their writing skills, mastering the techniques of painting or sculpture, developing basic sight singing and ear training skills, or delving into the development of theatre production, they will find a dynamic and supportive community in this division.
