Northeast Alabama Community College (Northeast) Foundation recently received funds for a new scholarship that will be awarded to students attending Northeast Alabama Community College. Two scholarships of $500 that can be used for tuition or books will be given to one resident of DeKalb County and one resident of Jackson County. Students can apply for this scholarship by visiting www.nacc.edu. Students for the 2016 fall semester have already been chosen.
Mr. Miles Smith, owner of Western Sizzlin’ in Fort Payne and Scottsboro, and Kristie Poe, Western Sizzlin’ Market Manager, have built a great relationship with the college. “Northeast has a great campus, and Dr. David Campbell, Northeast President, holds great events for the community,” stated Mr. Smith. “We have been very fortunate to be able to cater many of those events. Scholarships are a way we can give back to the community and the college. We are excited to offer scholarships for Northeast students.”
“We certainly appreciate Western Sizzlin’ making this scholarship available to our students,” stated NACC President Dr. David Campbell. “The scholarship will be well-used and we thank Western Sizzlin’ for their service to our community.”
