Northeast Alabama Community College Cross Country teams are celebrating as three Mustang athletes have been named to the Alabama Community College Conference All-Conference Cross Country team. The honors come after the Mustangs posted impressive performances at the ACCC Championship meet held last Friday at John Hunt Park in Huntsville.

NACC's All-Conference honorees include:

The NACC Women's Cross Country team delivered an impressive second-place finish, earning the title of ACCC Runners-Up. Leading the charge was freshman Anahi Barboza, who placed 2nd overall in the women's race with a time of 19:24.50. Barboza, who was also named ACCC Runner of the Week earlier this season, now holds the school record for the women's 5K and is already being recruited by four-year universities.

Sophomore Kadie Brooks, a repeat All-Conference honoree from 2024, continues to build on her legacy at NACC. She owns the school record in the women's 4K and has been a consistent force for the Mustangs throughout her career. Brooks is also attracting attention from four-year institutions as she prepares for the next chapter in her athletic journey.

On the men's side, sophomore Braxton Williams earned All-Conference honors after a strong showing at the championship meet, where the Mustang Men's team placed 5th overall. Williams holds every major men's cross country record at NACC — including the 5K, 6K, and 8K — and is also being recruited by four-year programs.

"These three athletes have worked extremely hard this season and have made themselves and their fellow teammates better," said NACC Cross Country Coach John Moore. "I consider myself very lucky to have the opportunity to coach these athletes at Northeast. They are remarkable athletes and have so much potential in their futures."

Next up, the Mustangs will travel to Fort Dodge, Iowa, to compete in the NJCAA National Championship on November 8.
