Nineteen students at Northeast Alabama Community College (NACC) competed for the title of Ms. Northeast Alabama Community College 2027 on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Ms. Northeast 2027, Libby Tallent, was crowned by Ms. Northeast 2026 Sadie Goza to cap off the evening. Ms. Northeast 2027 will receive a two-year full tuition scholarship to Northeast and a host of prizes donated by area businesses. Ms. Northeast also represents the college at events on campus and in the community throughout the year.

A treasured Northeast tradition, this year’s Ms. Northeast pageant highlighted students through the theme, “Empowered to Lead, Inspired to Serve”. Contestants are evaluated based on poise and appearance, a judge’s interview, and a student vote. This year’s judges were Connie Hill, Melanie Robinson and Brandi Whitworth.

“We appreciate all the students who participated in the Ms. Northeast Pageant,” stated NACC President Dr. David Campbell. “The Pageant is a long-standing tradition that goes back to the founding of the college in 1965. Ms. Tallent is an outstanding recipient of this honor, and she will be a great representative of the college!”
