Winners have been announced in the national 32nd Annual Educational Advertising Awards (by Higher Education Marketing Report) and the 2016 Collegiate Advertising Awards. Northeast Alabama Community College won eight Gold Awards, one Silver Award, and one Bronze Award in the Educational Advertising Awards. The college also won two Gold Awards and two Silver Awards in the Collegiate Advertising Awards.
The Educational Advertising Awards, sponsored by the Higher Education Marketing Report, is the largest, oldest, and most respected educational advertising awards competition in the country. This year, over 2,250 entries were submitted from over one thousand colleges, universities, and secondary schools from all fifty states and several foreign countries. Gold awards were granted to only 319 institutions, silver awards were awarded to only 224, and bronze awards were awarded to only 155 institutions.
Judges for the Educational Advertising Awards consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of Higher Educational Marketing Report. Higher Educational Marketing Report has been the nation’s leading marketing publication for higher education marketing professionals, for 33 years; read by thousands of higher education marketing professionals.
HEMR awards received by NACC included:
GOLD: Aurora Arts and Literature Magazine, Recruiting Brochure, Television Commercial, Magazine single ad, Special Event “The Saturday Show”, Mobile App, NACC Catalog/Student Handbook, and Theatre Brochure;
SILVER: Recruiting Video;
BRONZE: NACC Website.
In addition, NACC won four national Collegiate Advertising Awards. CAA is an elite national program created to honor today’s most talented marketing professionals for outstanding excellence in all forms of advertising, marketing and promotion specific to higher education products and services. The Collegiate Ad Awards allow college marketing and advertising efforts to compete against similarly sized colleges and universities from across the nation.
All entries were centralized for judging (per category) by a panel of design and education marketing professionals with decades of combined experience. Entries were judged on: creativity, layout/design, typography, production, quality and overall effectiveness.
CAAs received by NACC included:
GOLD: Aurora Arts and Literature Magazine and 2016-17 Catalog/Student Handbook;
SILVER: NACC Website and Mobile App.
"We aspire in all that we do to achieve at the national level," stated NACC President Dr. David Campbell.
