On Saturday, July 27 at 7:00 p.m., at the Tom Bevill Lyceum on the NACC campus, the NACC Rock Ensemble will perform their second annual summer concert: "In the Land of Milk and Honey: the Music of Steely Dan".
The NACC Rock Ensemble features current students as well as almuni and past and present faculty members. "This will be a very special event, just as the Pink Floyd- Dark Side of the Moon concert was last year," states Stacy Morris, ensemble director as well as bassist. "This is a great opportunity for students to really study and perform important works of rock music. I think we are probably the only community college in the state that does something like this on the scale."
Selections will include Steely Dan's biggest hits such as " Do it Again", "Peg", and " Reelin' in the Years". The ensemble will replicate the live and studio versions of these songs.
