The Northeast Alabama Community College (NACC) Foundation is proud to announce that its annual Holiday Gala will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025. This year’s guest of honor and 2025 Alumnus of the Year is Mr. Chris Graham of Fort Payne, Alabama.

Always a highlight of the season, this year’s Gala will feature a Mocktail & Mingle at 6:00 p.m., followed by dinner and a program at 7:00 p.m. Guests can look forward to an atmosphere of “elevated elegance,” as the NACC Gymnasium is transformed into a stunning setting for an evening of celebration and community spirit.

Our Foundation and staff Heather Smith (Development Director) and Rachael Graham (Assistant Foundation Fundraiser) never fail to deliver an astonishing gala with the help of Jarrod Blackwell, Julise Clement, and our Maintenance and Custodial Services staffs. Adding to the festive ambiance, attendees will enjoy a magical Christmas music performance, and the 360-degree photo booth will return for more holiday photo fun.

Rachael Graham, NACC Assistant Foundation Fundraiser, added, “Each year we’re amazed by our attendees. We can’t wait to share another fun evening together.”

Proceeds from the Gala benefit the NACC Foundation, which provides scholarships for students and supports the general mission of Northeast Alabama Community College.

Each year, the NACC Foundation honors an outstanding graduate who exemplifies the values and spirit of Northeast Alabama Community College. The 2025 Alumnus of the Year, Christopher B. Graham, has built a distinguished career in law enforcement and federal service, representing the very best of NACC alumni achievement.

Born in Fort Payne and raised in Rainsville and Fort Payne, Graham began his career in public service with the Fort Payne Police Department, where he established the city’s first K-9 unit. In 2000, he enrolled at Northeast Alabama Community College, a decision he credits with setting the course for his professional journey. “While at NACC, I met faculty and administrators who truly cared and went above and beyond to help me succeed,” Graham reflected. He went on to complete his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at Athens State University before beginning a remarkable career with the United States Secret Service.

Since joining the Secret Service in 2004, Graham has served in assignments across the nation, including with the Presidential Protective Division, safeguarding Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump and their families. Over more than two decades, he has coordinated protective operations for former presidents and first ladies, presidential candidates, and foreign dignitaries around the world.

Graham currently serves with the Mobile Resident Office of the Secret Service. He and his wife of 29 years, Bridget, have two daughters, Keelyn and Brookston.
