NACC EMS Program and Air Evac Lifeteam Offer Continuing Education Opportunities

Northeast Alabama Community College Emergency Medical Services Program and the Air Evac Lifeteam Training Center will be presenting Continuing Education opportunities in Advanced Airway Management, ETCO2 (Capnography), Acute Coronary Syndromes, 12 Lead Recognition, Cardiac Mediation Therapies, and LZ Safety for Fire/EMS Providers on January 22 and January 27 from 9 am until 4 pm in the Workforce Development Building on campus at Northeast, Room 132. The instructor for the classes is Jason Rich, NRP, FP-C, and CCP. The classes are the same for both days, and are being offered on two different dates to accommodate attendees’ work schedules.
These offerings meet NREMT National Continued Competency Requirements. You must attend the entire class to be awarded credit. EMS contact hours awarded: 5.75 CECBEMS approved. Nurses receive 3.25 hours through ANCC. Difficult airway and LZ class are not included for nursing hours.
This continuing education activity is approved by Air Evac EMS, Inc., an organization accredited by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS).
“Renewal of EMS and nursing licenses require continuing education in various subjects,” said Shelia Barnes, NACC EMS Program Director. “We are pleased to be able to offer these quality classes in cooperation with Air Evac EMS for our community providers at no cost.”
There is no charge for attending the sessions. Lunch is on your own.
