Northeast Alabama Community College (NACC) is proud to recognize and celebrate 29 outstanding students who have completed both their high school diplomas and associate degrees through the college’s Dual Enrollment program this year.
The Dual Enrollment program at NACC allows high school students to enroll in college-level courses and earn credit toward both their high school and college requirements. For these 29 seniors, the program has culminated in the simultaneous achievement of their high school and associate degrees.
“These students and their families, K-12 teachers and administrators, and Northeast staff as well should all be proud of their accomplishments,” stated NACC President Dr. David Campbell. “The students at a very low cost to parents now have two important credentials behind them - a high school diploma and an associate degree. By state law Alabama public universities are required to accept Alabama community courses (within designated pathways) for credit, so the students are well on their way to even more educational credentials and they have only just finished high school!"
“We are so excited for these students who have worked incredibly hard to accomplish such an impressive feat," said Jeff Hawes, Dean of Student Services. “Earning an associate’s degree while also graduating from high school is no easy task, and we know these students are well on their way to even greater success in their future endeavors. I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to our dual enrollment coordinator, Ms. Staci Miller, and the entire dual enrollment team for their dedication and commitment. Additionally, we are grateful for the continued support and vision of our legislators and Dr. Campbell in advancing dual enrollment opportunities at NACC.”
The following students are recognized as 2025 Dual Enrollment Graduates from Northeast Alabama Community College:
“I am so proud of every dual grad at NACC,” added Dual Enrollment Coordinator Staci Miller. “These students work hard to balance their high school and college classes, all while being typical high school students involved in athletics and extracurricular activities. Each of these students put in so much effort to get to this point, and I commend their dedication and determination to succeed.”
These students now move forward with a strong foundation, equipped with college credentials, valuable experience, and a head start on their academic and professional futures.
