A favorite community event, The Sand Mountain Soirée, is scheduled for Saturday, March 2, at 11:00 a.m. in the Tom Bevill Lyceum on the campus of Northeast Alabama Community College. This year’s guest speaker is Ashley Gilbreath.
Ashley Gilbreath is a southern-based interior designer renowned for creating casually elegant homes where the family can gather to celebrate everyday living. Her work is thoughtfully and patiently designed to ensure memories are wrapped in a feeling of love, comfort, and beauty. Ashley studied at Auburn University and the New York School of Interior Design and is a winner of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art’s coveted Shutze Award. Her work can be seen in her debut book, The Joy of Home, on ashleygilbreath.com, and on Instagram @ashleygilbreathinteriordesign.
"It's exciting having Ashley Gilbreath on campus. She is a renowned residential interior designer, and her works are on display from Florida to New York City," stated NCAA President Dr. David Campbell. "Thanks to our Event Planner Mrs. Chasley Brown for bringing Mrs. Gilbert to us. Mrs. Brown is the creator of Sand Mountain Soirée and this is her eight year of producing the event. Those that have attended it before know that under Mrs. Brown's leadership, the Soirée will be very creative, organized, and colorful with many artistic surprises! Don't miss it!"
“We are so excited for Soirée this year, and we are thankful it worked out for Ashley to be our speaker,” said NACC Event Planner Chasley Brown. “I was reading a book from one of my favorite pastors last winter that my parents had given me for Christmas. I have been a fan of his for years, as he has filled in many times at our church. I never put together that Sammy Gilbreath and Ashley Gilbreath were related until I saw the family picture in his book. I immediately messaged her on Instagram explaining how I was huge fan of both of theirs and I was just realizing that Sammy was her father-in-law. She was so sweet to respond, and she told me she would tell him. After that, I really started thinking about Ashley being our speaker for 2024. I am so glad it worked out, especially with her recently releasing a beautiful book of her work. We are expecting a beautiful morning, and we are hard at work with the planning and decorations. We are always so grateful for the support of the community for this event.”
Tickets are selling quickly for the event. They are $40 per person, and brunch is included with each ticket. We hope to see you there!
