Northeast Alabama Community College (NACC) and First Southern State Bank (FSSB) invite you to participate in the Mustang 5K Run/Walk that will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024.

Presented by First Southern State Bank, all proceeds from the Mustang 5K benefit scholarships at NACC. The race course takes place each year on the campus of Northeast and is held rain or shine. Individuals of all fitness levels are welcome.

Participants may register online at runsignup.com/Race/AL/Rainsville/FirstSouthernStateBankMustang5KRunWalk. All racers registered by February 21 will receive a long-sleeve t shirt!

“We are delighted to host this family-friendly event,” said Scott Kirk, President of First Southern State Bank and Race Director. “The Mustang 5K provides a unique experience for participants to run or walk on the beautiful campus of Northeast Alabama Community College while raising needed funds for scholarships for area students.  We invite everyone to join us for a morning of fitness and fun."

The race will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. in front of the Tom Bevill Lyceum on NACC’s campus. Participants should assemble at the starting line at 7:50 for race instructions. Restrooms will be available inside the Lyceum.

Awards will be given for the top three finishers in each category, as well as Best Male and Best Female winners.
