Eighteen students competed for the title of Ms. Northeast Alabama Community College 2025 at the college’s annual pageant last weekend. Lizzi-Kate Wilson, a sophomore at NACC, took home the crown. The event was held on September 28, 2024, at the Tom Bevill Lyceum on campus.

A long-time Northeast tradition, this year’s Ms. Northeast Pageant celebrates the women of Northeast Alabama Community College and their accomplishments throughout the year. Contestants will be evaluated by their poise and appearance, a preliminary judges’ interview, and a student popular vote.

“We appreciate all the participants in the Ms. Northeast Pageant,” stated NACC President Dr. David Campbell. “The Pageant is a long-standing tradition that goes back to the founding of the college in 1965. Thanks also to our staff who give their time to make this such a beautiful, wonderful event. We invite the public to come out and watch it some year!”

Ms. Northeast 2024, Jada Casey, crowned Lizzi-Kate Wilson as this year’s winner. Ms. Northeast receives a two-year full tuition scholarship to Northeast and a host of prizes donated by area businesses.

Wilson wishes to use her new title to promote Northeast and all the opportunities students are afforded here. “NACC has something for everyone, and I want to help spread the news!” said Wilson. She also noted how her campus experience helped prepare her for the competition, saying, “Being a Presidential Host on campus helped me strengthen my social skills. I watched the pageant last year as a Host and was inspired to participate in the pageant this year!”
