Through its financial sponsorship, the First National Bank (FNB) is helping bring a theatre performance to school children in Scottsboro, Jackson County, Fort Payne, and DeKalb County. Ms. Brenda Barnes, Executive Vice President/Retail Banking with FNB made the check presentation to Dr. David Campbell, NACC President recently.
FNB is sponsoring a production of “The Addams Family—A New Musical” by the Northeast Alabama Community College Theatre Department. Fifth grade students from the above school districts will be bused to the college to see the production on April 24th and 25th at 9 AM in the Tom Bevill Lyceum.
“We greatly appreciate First National Bank for providing this opportunity to local students,” said Dr. Campbell. “Thanks to FNB for their role in this and their support of the college and the community.”
“The Addams Family—A New Musical” is the college’s spring theatre production this year. The play is about America’s darkest family which comes to life in this original musical about love, family, honesty, and growing up!
“It’s always a pleasure having these students on campus,” Campbell continued. “Their excitement and enthusiasm is fun to see and I know they are in particular going to love this production. Our actors and actresses are so talented and they themselves bring a high level of energy to the production. It’s a fun and rewarding event for everyone—adults and children. This is one of the ways that we have to bring the fine arts to the college’s service area.
“The Addams Family” is presented through special arrangement with and all authorized performance materials are supplied by Theatrical Rights Worldwide, 1180 Avenue of the Americas, Suite 640, New York, NY 10036. (866) 378-9758 www.theatricalrights.com.
