An application is required to receive a degree and/or walk in the ceremony. Click on the application for the semester in which you will meet all degree requirements. Email cloudr@nacc.edu with any questions.
A graduation application is required to receive your degree. Degrees are awarded and posted to transcripts at the end of each semester - summer, fall, and spring.
Once you apply, the Dean and Associate Dean of Instruction Offices will evaluate your records to verify graduation requirements have been met.
Questions about the application and eligibility may be directed to Rebecca Cloud at cloudr@nacc.edu. Questions about your program of study, Degree Works audit, or registration may be directed to your academic advisor.
NACC is authorized to award the Associate in Arts (AA), Associate in Science (AS), and Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degrees.
A student will be considered a graduate upon satisfactory completion of the requirements of the specific program and by meeting graduation requirements. Please review degree requirements or programs of study for specific program information
An application is required in order to walk in the ceremony, but you are not required to walk to be designated as a graduate on your transcript. The annual ceremony is held each May for every student who earned a degree in the previous summer, fall, and spring semesters.
There is no cost to post a degree to your transcript; however, you can order a diploma for $20. You will be notified when charges are posted and can pay any fees through your MyNACC account or by contacting the Business Office.
If you need to verify your degree, you can check your unofficial transcript through your MyNACC account or request an official transcript.
Questions about diplomas may be directed to Angie Stewart at stewarta@nacc.edu.
Caps and gowns can be purchased from the NACC bookstore for $30 plus tax. The deadline to purchase a cap and gown is March 22. The bookstore's phone number is 256-638-9357.
Graduation is contingent on meeting all requirements. Contact your academic advisor for assistance in interpreting your progress and Degree Works audit report.
