Application requirements are listed within the job application and typically include a current resume, transcripts, letters of recommendation, philosophy statement, etc. See the individual job announcement for all requirements. *Most of the adjunct faculty and part-time staff positions are posted on a continuous basis. This means that applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; however, a vacancy may not be available at the time of application. Applications remain active and on file for three years.


Interview and Selection Process

The selection process for full-time faculty, staff, and administrators includes a review of complete applications. Applications meeting the minimum qualifications of the position, as outlined in the job announcement, will be carefully reviewed, with interviews to follow as determined by the President. This process can take up to 3 months for some searches. Applicants will be notified by phone of a scheduled interview or through their NEOED account. Please see the individual job announcements for more information about the proposed start date. The President makes all final decisions regarding employment.


Additional Information

Criminal Background Check: In accordance with Alabama Community College System policy and procedures, the applicant chosen for employment will be required to sign a consent form for a criminal background check. Employment will be contingent upon the receipt of a clearance notification from the criminal background check.

E-verify Compliance: Northeast Alabama Community College is an active participant in the Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-verify). E-verify electronically confirms an employee’s eligibility to work in the United States as required by the Department of Homeland Security.

Transcripts: If selected for a position, transcripts of all college credit or high school/GED credit must be submitted to the Human Resources Office. Transcript copies must show the identification of the institution, the identification of the applicant, and verify that the applicant has received the minimum degree requirements as stated in the “Qualifications” section of the job announcement. The person chosen to fill the position is required to furnish official transcripts prior to the start of employment.
