The nursing programs are also approved by the Alabama Board of Nursing.

INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERSHIPS include the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, Inc., the American Association of Community Colleges, the Alabama Community College Association, the National Association for Developmental Education, the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, the League for Innovation in the Community College, and the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development.
