The last quarter of the year was full of faculty, students, work and fun. We continue to see new students monthly as the reputation of the tutors and the service of the center grow. We averaged 828 students for the last quarter of the year and this includes the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays as well as the between semester period.

The center is proud of offer tutoring services for not only educational technology but also many academic disciplines. Northeast offers tutors in all subject matters located throughout the campus. According to a report from the Center for College Success, the TLC conducts more tutoring sessions than all the other campus centers combined. We are proud to hold this record.

During the final quarter of the year, the TLC Director attended the Alabama Community College Annual Diversity Conference. Working with all students, this conference proved to be a valuable resource with the many workshops presented. The director also attended the annual Athens State eLearning Symposium. This year several NACC instructors also attended the symposium. The eLearning Symposium, sponsored by Blackboard, is a great professional development for instructors using instructional technologies in their classrooms as well as online.

We continue to serve as a proctor center for many of our local residents who are attending a four-year college at a distance. Students from the University of Alabama, Columbia Southern and Jacksonville State University used the TLC director as a proctor.
