During December and January we closed
out fall semester and opened up spring. December was full of
proctoring final exams not only for our NACC students but for
students from other colleges as well. For the first time we
offered a certification exam as part of one of our Computer
Science courses. These exams were offered in the TLC as part of
our testing center with Certiport Test.
The Chancellor of Post Secondary
visited our campus and took a tour of the Technology Learning
Center. We were delighted to have Dr. Freida Hill on campus. We
also had a day of food and fellowship sponsored by Dr. Joe Burke
and Mrs. Judith Lea as a thank you to our students for their
support of the center during the fall semester. The party was a
huge success and offered lots of great food and fellowship.
We had one-on-one training with our
adjuncts, and on January 4th were able to share at Spring
In-Service the goings-on at the Technology Learning Center. We
also held three workshops that day with over 25 instructors in
all three sessions. Twenty student Blackboard orientations were
held with over 300 students attending.
We did all this and were out for the
holidays and closed for a week of snow the first week in
January!
