Dr. Joe Burke and Judith Lea, Director of Faculty
Student Technology Learning Center, received training in
administering Title III grants in Washington, D.C. The
mid-year report on Enhancing Student Engagement in
Learning and Student/Faculty Interaction with Technology
is being completed, and the NACC faculty members have
been surveyed about their use of technology and need for
assistance.
Judith Lea also received her Blackboard Server Admin
Certification in Washington, D.C. at Blackboard headquarters
after completing a two-week online class followed by three days
of extensive on-site training and a hands-on three-hour
competency test.
Blackboard is a Web-based course-management
system designed to allow students and faculty to participate in
classes delivered online as well as to complement face-to-face
teaching. Lea received her Blackboard GUI Admin Certification in
2008.
