bLACKBOARD iNSTRUCTIONS

Blackboard is a course management system used by Northeast Alabama Community College to provide online access to instructional materials. Every active student has a Blackboard account that can be accessed when registration is complete.

To take a web-based (online) course:

  • Register.

  • E-mail the instructor by the first day of classes, using your college e-mail account. Faculty e-mail addresses are last-name-first-initial@nacc.edu, or you can use the Faculty-Staff Directory in the Contacts menu.

  • Take Orientation for each class as shown on Internet Class Schedule webpage:
-- Attend if Orientation is on campus.
-- Follow instructions if Orientation is online.
-- Access Blackboard if you have settled all financial obligations to the college.

  • If you have not settled all financial obligations to the college, you cannot access Blackboard yet. At Orientation, tell your instructor that you intend to finish registering and take the course. Ask how to avoid getting behind in your early assignments, and follow instructions. Then access Blackboard as soon as you become eligible.

    HOW TO ACCESS:

CLICK the Blackboard Log-in icon on the homepage (left menu) or at the top of this page. Or type in the URL www.blackboard.nacc.edu

USER NAME is your full Northeast e-mail address including the word mail. Ex. jdoe0101@mail.nacc.edu

PASSWORD is your NOAH password, which by default is your six-digit birthday (mmddyy) until you change it in NOAH.

Once you are logged into Blackboard you will see a list of all online courses. If you do not see your course, please e-mail your instructor.
