NARRATIVE/JUSTIFICATION FOR JUDGMENT OF COMPLIANCE

Northeast Alabama Community College demonstrates compliance. The college has qualified administrative and academic officers with the experience, competence, and capacity to lead the institution as defined by employment and evaluation policies established by the State Board of Education and guided by the Chancellor of the Alabama College System, and as demonstrated by the Roster of Administrative and Academic Officers and Staff. State Board of Education Policy 605.01 requires that the president and other administrative officers directly responsible to the president possess credentials, experience, and/or demonstrated competence appropriate to their areas of responsibility. Board Policy 607.01 mandates the evaluation of all personnel. Information specific to the appointment and evaluation of the president is presented in Comprehensive Standard 3.2.1, Governance and Administration. Responsibility for the evaluation of the president lies with the chancellor; all other personnel are evaluated annually by their immediate supervisors. Policy and procedures governing the evaluation of administrators is presented in Comprehensive Standard 3.2.10. Records of credentials, experience, and competence are maintained in personnel files in the Office of the Administrative Assistant to the President.
