White Night Black Light Dance Party Huge Success

All it took was four hardworking students, one dedicated sponsor, seven black lights, and one hundred balloons to kickoff a great fall semester at Northeast Alabama Community College. Dance Machine, a professional DJ from Huntsville, and T.O.Y.S., a dance crew from Huntsville, entertained over 125 students on Friday night as everyone danced and had a wonderful time getting to know each other. The dance was obviously a huge success as people left with a smile on their faces and a neon glow stick in their hands to remember the night.

The Student Government Association, who sponsored the event, is the voice of students at NACC and is presently planning more events to make the upcoming school year an exciting one for everybody on campus. Students are urged to get involved by running for freshman or sophomore representative, and to watch the website for such events as the Miss Northeast pageant, semester blood drives, the Fall Fling, the Mustang 5K, and the annual Christmas charities drive.

The officers of the SGA and its sponsor, Joan Reeves, would like to thank everyone who helped to make the Black Light Dance party an unforgettable welcome to NACC and invite everyone to get involved with SGA throughout the coming year.

For more information about the SGA contact Joan Reeves at reevesj@nacc.edu or telephone extension *2231 at the college.
