DeKalb/Jackson Move It/Lose It Challenge 5k Walk/Run May 21

The Northeast Alabama Community College Student Government Association, and Sigma Kappa Delta invite participation in the 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 21, 2011. The proceeds from this event will go to the DeKalb County and Jackson County Red Cross, who have done so much to assist those affected by Aprilís tornados.

Race day registration will be at the NACC Student Center from 7:00 to 7:45 A.M. Participants should assemble for race instructions at 7:50 A.M. in the parking lot of the walking trail. The 5K will begin promptly at 8:00 am. The course will consist of a double loop of the NACC campus and nature trail, beginning and ending behind the NACC Student Center. Awards will be given in each division. Divisions for the races include 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and older. Awards will be presented at the finish of the races.

All participants who register by May 7, 2011, will pay a fee of $20 per individual. Entry fees after May 7, 2011, and on race day will be $25 per individual. Please make your check to DeKalb County Red Cross. Entry fees are non-refundable. You can mail your registration fee and signed registration form to Stacy Miller, 959 Co Rd 22, Pisgah, Al 35765. Entries should be postmarked by May 7, 2011, for regular registration. We will walk/run rain or shine, but reserve the right to cancel in the event of threatening weather.
