Faculty Members Present Widely Viewed
Webinar
Innovative Educators recently invited NACC to present a webinar
on learning communities. This company provides professional
development training for postsecondary professionals including
webinars, face-to-face conferences, podcasts and social
networking.
The presentation was entitled "A Revolutionary Approach in
Developmental Education: A Learning Community Initiative." The
three presenters were Joan Reeves, Instructor and Division
Director of English and Fine Arts; Dr. Sharon Totten, Instructor
of Math; and Tonie Niblett, Dean of Student Services. They were
assisted by Shirley Buttram, Director of the Center for College
Success at NACC.
The presentation received very good evaluations by the attendees
who viewed the webinar, from Pennsylvania to Oregon. Attendees
commented that they believed they received valuable information
of benefit to their own institutions.
