English Honorary Inducts New Members
The Epsilon Alpha Chapter of Sigma Kappa Delta at Northeast
Alabama Community College recently held its spring initiation.
Sigma Kappa Delta is an English honor society for two-year
college students. The NACC chapter was chartered in 1996, making
it the first in Alabama and the fourth in the nation. Since
1996, the Epsilon Alpha Chapter has initiated over 1,700
students. Sigma Kappa Delta recognizes students who have
received a B or better in English 101 or 102 and have maintained
a cumulative GPA of 3.3. Members of Sigma Kappa Delta are given
opportunities for scholarships locally and nationally.
Additionally, members can submit their fiction to the national
SKD for inclusion in the national literary journal, Hedera
helix.
