Library Adds New Database
The Northeast Alabama Community College Library is proud to
announce a new database subscription. NewsBank database will
search local, as well as national, newspapers for articles.
Julia Everett, Director of the Learning Resources Center, said,
“We have only had access to this database a few weeks, and
statistics show that our library patrons have already performed
over four hundred searches. We are very pleased that this
database has been so well received by our students and other
library patrons.”
NewsBank, Inc. is a major publisher of news, historical
information, and documents to consumers, libraries, educational
institutions, and research institutes around the world.
Currently, there are 350 newspapers online with over 150 million
articles.
The
database is available for use both on and off campus by NACC
library patrons. Community members may become library patrons at
no cost by visiting the NACC Library to get a library card.
The library is open Monday-Thursday from
7:30 am until 9:30 pm and on Friday from 7:30 am until 3 pm.
