on campus Laura Spears and Jonathan Thomas stop for a moment in
the quad to talk about their first days of classes at Northeast
Alabama Community College. "I was a little nervous at first, but
it is a lot more relaxed than I thought it would be," said
Spears, whose first day was last Friday. "I love all of my
teachers! They are so nice and helpful!" Spears is majoring in
theatre and will transfer to Birmingham-Southern following her
studies at NACC. Today was Thomas' first day of classes. "I am
taking classes to get a job in the field of welding," said
Thomas. "Classes are going good for me."
Registration at NACC continues through
Thursday, August 27. Preliminary enrollment numbers are indicative
of a huge increase for NACC. For more information see
