First-Ever Inaugural Day Viewing Event
on NACC Campus
As a continuing commitment to providing services to its students
and to the community, Northeast Alabama Community College will
host a first-ever Inaugural Day Viewing party on campus on
Tuesday, January 20 in the Tom Bevill Lyceum.
The event begins at 9:30 am with a live feed from WAFF-TV/Huntsville.
The Honorable John Graham, Circuit Judge from Jackson County
will be our featured speaker at 10:00 am, the swearing-in will
be at 11:00 am, and the event concludes at 2:00 pm.
“This is the first time we’ve done something like this,” said
Susan Barron, NACC Event Planner, adding that she anticipates a
capacity crowd given the excitement of this historic
inauguration. “We will still have classes that day, but we’re
expecting some classes to join us in the theater for the event.”
All students, faculty and staff, as well as the public are
invited to this free event. Refreshments will be served in the
lobby.
Dr. David Campbell, President of NACC, stated, “Particularly
since this is the country’s first elected African-American
President, there is great interest throughout America in the
Inauguration. We are pleased to be able to permit more people to
witness this historic event through our technological resources
at Northeast. We welcome the public to be with us on
Inauguration Day.”
