“The Spirit of Christmas” December 4 and 5
The Northeast Alabama Community College Tom Bevill Lyceum has
been chosen again as the location for a Christmas program, “The
Spirit of Christmas,” that you, your family, and your friends
will not want to miss! The dates and times are December 4 and 5,
2009, at 7:00 p.m.
The DeKalb County/Fort Payne City Christmas Association, in
conjunction with the theatre department at NACC, will bring to
our community this beautiful holiday program. On Friday, a
concert by the NACC Chorus, directed by Dr. Kathy Adkins, will
begin the evening. Saturday evening will begin with a
performance by the Jazz Band, Directed by Dr. Dan Knox. The
second portion of the program will feature our pageant, “The
Spirit of Christmas.” The first Christmas will be told in
action, song, and narration. You will see Mary ride to the
stable on a donkey, the shepherds herd their sheep, and the wise
men arrive by camel train. These live animals will put you and
your imagination in Bethlehem on this most Holy night!
As in past years, Christina Wise will direct this Christmas
extravaganza and Dr. Kathy Adkins will direct the community
chorus. The DeKalb County/Fort Payne City Christmas Association hopes to see you and your entire family as
it
brings to life the real reason for Christmas.
Tickets for the event are only are $4.00 each. Tickets may be
purchased by visiting the office of Susan Barron, Director of
Events Planning, in the Pendley Administration Building, Room
