Northeast Employees Honored At State
Meeting
Northeast personnel recently were honored at a state meeting of
the Alabama Community College System (ACCS) held in Montgomery.
The recipients of the recognition were Susan Barron, Director of
High School Relations and Event Planning, Sharon Totten,
Mathematics Instructor, and Winnie Yates, Administrative
Assistant to the Dean of Student Services.
The NACC employees received Chancellor’s Awards at a ceremony
featuring Joan Davis, acting Interim Chancellor of the ACCS. The
Chancellor’s Awards are given to recognize professional
excellence, dedication, and creativity in service to Northeast
and the ACCS as a whole.
“We are very pleased to see Ms. Barron, Ms. Totten, and Mrs.
Yates recognized for their work here at Northeast,” stated NACC
President Dr. David Campbell. “Although their specific jobs are
different at the college, each one of them approaches their work
with enthusiasm, dedication, creativity, and a helpful attitude.
Each goes that extra mile for our students and individually they
are such a pleasure to work with.”
The Chancellor’s Awards Ceremony took place at the Montgomery
Performing Arts Center as a part of the Alabama Community
College System’s annual conference. Several hundred people
attended the ceremony, including representatives from NACC. For
