TLC Staff Honors Graduates

The staff of the Technology Learning Center at Northeast Alabama Community College is honoring the hard work and dedication of all their graduates with refreshments during the week of finals. As graduation approaches, many students have gathered in the TLC for one last week of fellowship with classmates for the semester. Students are encouraged to come by the center and enjoy cookies and candy between finals. The TLC is located in the Harry Campbell Business Education Building, Room 107.

The TLC serves as a multi-function resource and instructional support center for students and faculty. The primary mission of the Center is to provide instructional technology support to faculty and students. The Center focuses on the instructor as a lifelong learner by providing tools, resources, and facilities that enrich and support the integration of instructional technology into the curriculum. This week the center is a place of student collaboration, study groups, and fellowship.

Tomas Roberts and Juana Chuc have served as tutors in the TLC for the past two years. Tomas will be graduating with a degree in pre-engineering and moving on to the University of Alabama at Huntsville where he received a transfer scholarship. Juana will be receiving her degree in nursing and is preparing to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) leading to licensure as a registered nurse. She plans to continue her education in the fall by enrolling in the bachelor degree nursing program at Jacksonville State University.

For more information about the TLC call Judith Lea, Director of the Technology Learning Center, at ext. 2309 or email her at leaj@nacc.edu.
