NACC Art Student Presents Painting to Governor

Northeast Alabama Community College art student Kelly Sanders recently presented Alabama Governor Bob Riley with an oil portrait she did of the Governor and his grandson. The presentation took place at the Capitol in Montgomery. Sanders is a student in Elliott Miller's portraiture class at Northeast.

Sanders had the opportunity to take classes in oil painting when a teenager and most recently with talented and acclaimed artist, Elliott Miller at Northeast. "The class in Portraiture has been very challenging and engaging, and I have re-discovered how much I enjoy creating art," said Sanders.
