NACC Quiz Team Wins Another Trophy
The Northeast Alabama Community College
Quiz Team won third place in the October 20 Division II
competition at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. The team
is coached by Dr. Daphne Huntley and Denise Patterson. In the
UTC Trivia Competition on Sunday, October 21, 2007, Candice
Lynch was among the third place winners.
 Competing
team members included (pictured front row) Mack Brock, Jake

"Ms. Patterson and I are so gratified to
see the Northeast team play so well--even against university
students. We believe the trophy showcases the kind of talent and
spirit that is in our community. We could not achieve this
alone. The Northeast faculty, staff and other students have been
thoroughly supportive," said Dr. Huntley.
The UTC Division II competition involved twelve teams of both
university and community college students in Jeopardy-style play
pertaining to academic subjects such as history, geography,
psychology, literature, physics, chemistry and art.
The Northeast team defeated teams from Auburn
University-Montgomery, UTC, Tennessee, Berry College, Alabama
and Northeast Mississippi Community College. Division II teams
from Vanderbilt University and Virginia Tech took first and
second place.
The Quiz Team's next competition will be on November 9, 2007 at
Snead State Community College.
