Annual Nurse Preceptorship In-service
Held
The Associate Degree Nursing program at NACC held its annual
Preceptorship in-service recently for registered nurses from the
area hospitals. To serve as a preceptor, the nurse must be
recommended by the nursing faculty or hospital. In the final
semester of the nursing curriculum, nursing students will
complete a minimum of 90 clinical hours with a preceptor. This
experience prepares students for the transition to nursing
practice. Nurses attending the program were from Dekalb Regional
Medical Center (DRMC), Highland Medical Center (HMC), and
Marshall Medical Center South (MMCS).
