Art Student and Instructor Present Portraits to President Carter

Lisa Lusk, an RN at Huntsville Hospital and a student in Elliott Miller's Fun of Drawing Art Class at Northeast Alabama Community College, completed her class assignment by painting a portrait of President Jimmy Carter. The portrait was presented to President and Mrs. Carter on Sunday, July 15, 2007 at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains, Ga. Included in the presentation was a charcoal drawing of the President and his mother, Mrs. Lillian Carter, done by art instructor Elliott Miller.

Pictured, left to right, on the church grounds are: President Jimmy Carter, Rhonda Miller, Elliott Miller, Lisa Lusk, Thomas Lusk (Lisa's Husband), and Mrs. Rosalynn Carter.
