Jazz Band Rates Superior at Jazz Hall
of Fame
The Northeast Community College Jazz Band participated in the
Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame Jazz Festival held in Birmingham,
Alabama on Saturday, March 31, 2007. The band received a
superior rating based upon their musicianship and improvisation.
The Northeast band has been a participant each year since the
festival was organized in 2003.
The band is under the direction of Dr. Daniel C. Knox, pictured
at left below holding the Jazz Festival Superior trophy as band
