Alabama Ballet at NACC: Dancers and Program

Northeast Alabama Community College, in partnership with the Gorham’s Bluff Institute, welcomes the return of the world-renowned Alabama Ballet.

The Alabama Ballet Company includes Jennifer Lauren, Kyle Seguin, Jenna McKerrow Wilson, Benjamin Linn, Kathryn Gebler Spitzer, Noah Hart, Jennifer Ferrigno, Jamorris Rivers, Alana Czernobil, and Brandon Ragland.

The Program will include: Carnival in Venice, all company performing, featuring Kathryn Gebler Spitzer and Noah Hart; Muse, choreographed by Jamorris Rivers, performed by Jamorris Rivers and Alana Czernobil; Premisia, choreographed by Kyle Seguin, performed by Kyle Seguin and Jennifer Lauren; Moments of Confrontation, choreographed by Brandon Ragland, performed by Jamorris Rivers, Brandon Ragland, Jennifer Ferrigno, and Alana Czernobil; Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, a pas de deux, choreographed by Roger Van Fleteren,  performed by Kyle Seguin and Jennifer Lauren; The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, choreographed by Kyle Seguin, performed by Benjamin Linn and Jennifer Ferrigno; and "Ballroom Scene" from Cinderella, choreographed by Roger Van Fleteren, composed by Segei Prokofiev, performed by all featuring Brandon Ragland and Jenna McKerrow Wilson. 

Youth workshops conducted by the Alabama Ballet company will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, and the ballet performance will be on Sunday afternoon, July 27, at 2:00 pm, in the Tom Bevill Lyceum.

The dance workshops are $20 per student and will be limited to 25 students per workshop. All dance workshop students will receive one free ticket to the Sunday matinee. The Sunday performance is $10 per person and is open to the public.

The Ballet activities schedule includes:

  • NACC, Dance classes, Tuesday, July 22, $20 per student.

  • Gorham’s Bluff, Dance Discovery, Thursday, July 24, 7 pm, www.gorhamsbluff.com  (a free preview dance rehearsal).

  • Gorham’s Bluff, Bluffside Patrons Dinner and Performance, Friday, July 25. Dinner at 7 pm, Ballet begins at 8 pm. Please call 256-451-2787 for reservations.

  • NACC, Sunday, July 27, 2 pm, the Alabama Ballet performs in the Tom Bevill Lyceum.
