Northeast Will Host 2007 Latino
Festival June 16
Northeast Alabama Community College will host the Summer Latino
Festival on Saturday, June 16, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the
NACC Lyceum and on the front lawn. This marks the fourth year of
this annual event. Previous festivals have been tremendous
successes, and the College is again pleased to present this
festival in celebration of the Latino heritage that is a
significant part of the society of north Alabama. Members of the
community—from all backgrounds—are invited to come together to
celebrate this culture.
This year’s festival hopes to be even more fun and exciting than
previous festivals. Numerous games and activities are planned
for everyone.
Prior to the festival, on Thursday, June 14 at 7 p.m. in the Tom
Bevill Lyceum, there will be a free movie night featuring
Take the Lead, (PG13) starring Antonio Banderas. Free Latin
dance lessons, which have been offered for three weeks, will be
given for the last time on on June 14 from 6:30 until 7:30.
