An affectionate spoof of 1950s sci-fi movies!
Charming, tuneful & hilarious!
Tongue firmly planted in cheek!
Never fails to entertain!
The zany comedy, Little Shop of Horrors features a flower
shop employee, Seymour Krelborn, who somehow fails to recognize
the power of a man-eating plant until it is too late! Performed
all over the world with lengthy runs on Broadway, the show
features award winning composer Alan Menken (Little Mermaid,
Beauty & the Beast, and Aladdin) and his unique
style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown. In
addition to the award winning productions in New York, the cult
classic film starred Rick Moranis, Bill Murray, and Steve
Martin.
Our production promises to be performed on an enormous scale!
Unlike most productions, which use a smaller cast for this show,
we utilize more than 5 times the number of actors required. Our
set extends into the audience, complete with rotation and lifts,
and we rented plants from New York by the original Broadway
puppet designer. You may also experience a few surprises! We
feel this production will be best enjoyed by audiences 10 &
above. The play incorporates a few instances of mild mature
language. Additionally, while presented in a “spoof” comical
style, the plant may frighten some younger children.
Performances will be April 22-25 & 29-May 2, 2010.
Thursday-Saturday evening performances will begin at 7:00 p.m.,
and Sunday matinees will begin at 2:00 p.m. |
