The Alabama Virtual Library is a collection of online databases made available by
the legislature for library, school, or home use. These
databases contain magazine, journal, and newspaper articles. The AVL now
uses geolocation to enable citizens living in the state of
Alabama to use the AVL without a user name and password.
Library patrons who need a user name and password should contact
the faculty and staff of the NACC library or of a local public
library.

over 1,500 full-text articles covering local, state, regional
and national newspapers, blogs, newswires and videos on topics
such as business, education, government, health, issues and
events, politics and more including the Birmingham
