The Cosmetology program at Northeast Alabama Community College prepares students
for rewarding careers in cosmetology, nail technology, and esthetics. Graduates
of this program will find employment in salons or spas, and may choose to open
their own business.
The Northeast program provides students with the opportunity to take the Alabama
licensure exam. Short term certificates provide opportunity for certification
in esthetics or nail technology.
Instructors are highly qualified in their field and enthusiastic about helping
their students become successful. Students should expect to participate in
classroom and lab demonstrations, as well as practice and internship
opportunities in the salon setting.
