Sue Pickett, a native of Jackson County, AL, lives in Dutton with her husband of 34 years, Barry. They have 2 children, who are both elementary teachers, and 5 grandchildren, who are the joys of their lives.

Ms. Pickett graduated from Section High School and attended NACC for two years on a Civitan Scholarship. She then transferred to Jacksonville where she obtained a B.S. & M.S. degrees in Education with a major in English. After teaching 30+ years in the county school system, she retired to work as an adjunct at Northeast and to babysit grandchildren.

She enjoys reading, gardening, and traveling.
