Jody Ragsdale is a 1995 graduate of Sylvania High School, and he spent what he says were the two best years of his college career as a student at Northeast before transferring to Jacksonville State University where he received a B.S. degree in secondary education. He has since completed a Master’s degree from Jacksonville as well.

 Jody was an English teacher in the DeKalb county school system for nine years and an adjunct English instructor for Northeast for five years before being hired as a full time instructor in 2010. He is married to Natalie Wilson Ragsdale, and they have one daughter, Samantha.
