The English
Department at Northeast Alabama Community College offers an
Associate in Arts degree in English and an Associate in Science
degree in English designed for those students planning careers
in secondary education or majors/minors in English. The
course descriptions link on this page allows the students to
access the college catalog which provides a list of courses
offered by the department as well as programs of study for
students pursuing a degree in English. Additional

The department also administers the college's Writing Center.
The Writing Center is equipped with twenty-eight computers with such
tutorials as PassKeys, Mastering English Grammar, Student
Writing Center, Grammar 3D, Writer's Resources, and Writing
Elements. An English tutor is available to help students
in English 092, 093, 101, 102, and with literature classes.
The tutor's hours vary from semester to semester but are posted
on the college website.
