Northeast Alabama Community College provides information to help students identify interesting areas of study and find College services that will assist them in reaching their goals. Northeast provides information on its many educational offerings and services through print, broadcast, and electronic media.

NEWS RELEASES:

Employees with College news that should be sent to the appropriate media outlets should contact the Director of Promotions and Marketing, Mrs. Debra A. Barrentine, by email at barrentined@nacc.edu. Her telephone extension is 210. Her office is located in Room 120 in the Charles M. Pendley Administration Building.

News releases are automatically posted to the College’s web site, and may be linked where appropriate. News items that are not presented as news releases may be delivered through web site announcements. Contact the webmaster@nacc.edu for these options.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Director of the Office of Promotions and Marketing’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Media Relations
Press release writing and distribution
Ad design
Billboard design and locations
Design and publication of the NACC Catalog/Student Handbook and class schedules
Design and publication of recruiting brochures, folders, posters, flyers, etc.
NACC Awards Certificate Printing
Television, cable, radio, and Internet commercials
General photography
Publication bids—NACC Catalog, Aurora Magazine, brochures, and folders, etc.
NACC commencement program design and publication, tee shirts, and tickets
GED commencement tickets
Name tags for special events, i.e., Presidential Hosts, etc.
Freshman orientation tee shirts design
Employment ads


Mrs. Barrentine is a member, and past president, of the Alabama Community College System Public Relations Association.
