General Information Bring your driver's license, social security card or
taxpayer ID number, and $50.00 cash/credit card only.
Retests are $10.00 per section.
Are you 16 or 17 years of age?
If you
are 16, you must have withdrawn from high school prior to August
1, 2009 and must provide a notarized Certificate of Exemption.
If you are 17 and withdrew prior to August 1, 2009, you must
have a withdrawal form and a notarized parent permission letter.
If you withdrew from school on or after August 1, 2009, you must
meet the age requirement of 17 and provide a Student
Exit Interview form. If you are 16 or 17, a resident of
Alabama, and have withdrawn from a private school, a church
school, or a private tutor program; you must provide a notarized
letter from a parent/legal guardian stating that you have exited
the school/program and that you have permission to take the GED
test.

Registering to Take
the GED Test at Northeast Alabama Community
College
At least one week
prior to assigned test date:

Call for an
appointment to register
-
Pre-resister and
pay the required fee ($50.00 for the first
time)

Complete the
required paperwork
Registration for the
GED takes about one hour and 30 minutes to
complete. If an individual makes an appointment
and does not attend the registration session, he
or she will not be permitted to take the test on
the date given. He or she must call back for a
new registration and test date.

Spanish-speaking
persons may request a Spanish version of the
test.
The tests begin promptly at the stated times and
require five to eight hours , counting breaks
and lunch, to complete. For the tests on
"double days" plan to spend four hours each
night. |

Snead State Community College

Snead-Arab site
registration is at either 8:00am or 10:00 am. Snead-Boaz campus
registration is at 8:00 am. There is limited space, so registration is on a
"first-come, first-served" basis. One day tests begin at 8:00 am and two day
tests begin at 5:00 pm. All tests are given at the Boaz
Campus unless specified as "Arab." Call Jessamine Huffman at
