The Able Student Alliance promotes comradeship, support services, communication and outreach activities among students with disabilities and non-disabled student volunteers. Membership is open to all students, but may be of special interest to students majoring in health, education, and human service areas.

Some of the activities that the Able Student Alliance has promoted include The Cystic Fibrosis "Great Strides" walkathon, a used coat drive, a new/used blanket collection to benefit families in need, volunteering with CASA of Jackson County, helping with the volleyball tournament, and, most recently, the distribution of magazines to local nursing homes.

“The Able Student Alliance is an organization of people that specialize in
helping and caring for one another.” – Dr. Joe Burke
