I have always loved books. I began working in a library when I was in the third grade and although I learned quickly how to “shelve” books, I constantly stayed in trouble with the librarian because I spent more time reading them than shelving them.

Books present such awesome opportunities. Through them I can travel to the most exciting or the most tranquil places. I can conquer worlds known or unknown. I can gain knowledge and understanding for the most perplexing problems and obtain wisdom and revelation to the deeper truths of life. I can laugh and cry and ponder and question and learn, and as long as I am learning, I am truly living.
